Picked up a 70 tonight

I was on CL last night and saw an ad for a 70. the ad was only up for about 10 minutes before I called on it. He said I was first caller and would meet me half way the next day if I wanted it and that he would tell anyone who called afterwards that it was sold. I was hoping he would stick to that cause really ya never know. The pics he put on werent the best but he told me it was mostly original minus the seat cover that he did and that he bought it off the original owner. said it ran great and well, he didnt lie. this thing starts on half a pull and hauls the mail for a little stock 70. its a 1985 4 speed. i told my old lady on the way to meet him i was buying a chainsaw. so when we got to the parking lot he was in and she saw a little 70 there she just about killed me. I had to lie about the price to calm her down but i still got a good deal on it. this will be a keeper for sure. i romped it around tonight it whips pretty good.

Actually the tank decals r that of an '84. Those aren't stock '85 decals.

But not to put it down at all. It's very very nice. I just picked one up Friday night. I wish it was that nice. I found it o. Craigs, I talked to the guy and he BS'ed me about it. Overcourse I didn't know until I got there and saw it but I talked him down a bit and took it home.

i never have somebody meet me if im not 100% sure its nice but i lucked out and it was pretty nice. i paid 300 for it
