Okay so im in the process of rebuilding my 1985 200x and i also have a 1985 ATC 70...i am considering getting rid of them as soon as im finished cleaning them up and making them look nice. So once i would have sold them i would try and find a Honda ATC 250r...i am in love with the 250r for some reason the look is so beautiful. what do you guys think? should i try and sell my 3 wheelers for a 250r? if i were to get a 250r i would keep it for the rest of my life! no doubt about it. Please let me know what you think thanks!

If u can't keep them all.... Then yes I would go for it. 3rd gen 250R's are the cream of the crop. But realize that when most people sell off their stuff inhopes of going better, and it takes time to find what they want they trickle away the money they had for it. A hundo here a fiddy there and then u r stuck with no 3 wheeler after a few months.

I hope u get an R !!

I'd say keep them and save money longer. The more you have, the more friends can come ride with you. Or if you meet a lady friend with a kid, tos her on the 200x and the kid on the 70 :) Thats how I'd do it.

I'm all about selling stuff to buy things i really want or upgrades to my house. ( I still have a mindset that owning a home is awesome even after 8 yrs and after losing equity...) I say go for it!!!!!. It basically boils down to do you have other hobbies? If you leave yourself with nothing and have few things to keep you busy it could make you nuts.

Also the way i see it is you can always buy something else, but to often you never have the $$$ or space when you see something you really want.

These things are like OREOs..you can't have just one!!!

New Idea..keep the 2 and buy the 250r..right, right??? you know I'm right!!!

Sell em' and get an R, you could get another 70 and 200x someday. The R's are getting harder to find by the day.

I agree. I see a good amount of 200x on craigslist. I rarely see an atc250r pop up on there.

yeah i think im gonna sell them and get a 250r...the only thing is my 200x smokes and i dont want to have to bore and pout a new piston in the engine becasue itll cost be and set me even more back from getting a decent 250r...so my question is is there any way to reduce the amount of smoke it produces? so itll be worht more....PLEASE respond! thanks!

The only way to stop the smoke <AND sleep at night,Is to bore, piston and rings, valve job,and maybe timing chain. If it's a full resto, and gorgeous, just be honest, and they"the buyer" will HIGHLY underestimate what it is going to cost to do it right! If they can do it themselves, and count their time as nothing,,:) ,,it really doesn't COST much, mostly labor.

so you think i shouldnt do the engine rebuild or yes? becasue honestly itll cost me about 250 after parts and labor and i wont get enough out of the 200x....if i sell it

Keep the 200x if its a clean original one. I sold my 85, 200x back in the day to buy a 87 Banshee, I wished i never sold it back then, I like my banshee but I like the 200x for all around riding. Sell the ATC70 those go for good money restored. I have replaced my 85 200x with another one but spent good money for a clean original one 7 years ago. 85-86 250R are sweet bikes. My buddy got a brand new on in 85. That Trike was amazing, Fast, handled good. I,m still want to add one to my collection someday.
