Recently bought an 84 200s and its working like a charm. only thing that bugs me is that it sounds like the chain might be loose and when i bought it the guy said that the chain adjuster is already all the way back. So are there any other solutions besides buying a new chain? maybe removing a link? im going to end up buying new sprockets and chain soon anyways but id like a quick fix for right now till i get some money to buy some parts.

cutting a link or 2 out of the chain would be the easist way to do it

what i did for mine as a quick fix was a small socket to act as a washer. if u understand what i mean?
the socket makes it able to pull more slack in the chain.

If you "remove a link", you may be buying chain and sprockets sooner than you thought.
You cannot remove one link, it ends up being 2 links which many times is too short........

They are scary, WEAK links is what they are. I'd hold off and just avoid riding it for the time being. Get a new chain and sprocket.
I'd also, in the time of holding off not riding it, check the sprocket wear and the number of links on that chain+ the length it self, they have stretch limits on them.
