well i struck up a good deal on 1 1/2 350x`s the motor is siezed but i have spares.
i sent the mint 85 frame out for sand blasting a hour after i purchased them.
i will post picks tomorrow of the frame before paint and pictures as it proceeds, i am hoping it will be a roller in two weeks tops.

Even if you don't gusset it, you HAVE to gusset the left motor mount or the frame will break there. The 86 half wrap seems to hold up fine and believe me, I have tested it! But the 85's snap/crackle/pop, maybe not everywhere with light usage, but certainly in that area there......

Just my .02 $$

The 85 needs a half wrap on the left motor mount like they did in 86, the seat latch area seems more prone to cracking on the 85 also. I do not have gussets for those, I make those 2 areas up as I receive frames. If you find my thread, you can see how it's done. I am currently out of the tubing for the wrap and the rod for under the seat latch area. If your not jumping it or aggressively riding it, you don't have to go gusset crazy. But, if your gonna paint or PC it nice, it's nice to gusset the whole frame. TPC sells the whole kit for about 65-75$, I can't compete with a water/laser jet cut gusset kit.......

This is the most important area I reinforce, but frame flex seems to crack 85 model frames in numerous areas.....
