I bought some 83-84 250r forks and drained them, pulled all the internals out and set them next to the 350x internals and ....

THEY'RE EXACTLY THE SAME.

Did someone already do the mod?

Does anyone know the ID of the holes on the 350x? (I've got 5.7 mm on both dampening tubes)

Also it looks like someone took a drill bit to the 250r forks and opened up the outside of the hole to increase flow? maybe I'm just crazy but i'm thinking i might have been duped! Also the 250r has the bolts that hold in the dampening rod that have a long rod on them... is that to slow down fluid travel?

I'm trying to post pics, but my phone won't send them to my email, so I'm waiting to post the pics up to better explain.

There are clearly obvious differences. The height of the hole being one of them.

I may have pics somewhere myself......

finally got those pics uploaded.

Top ones are the 250r dampening rods

These below are the 350x dampening rods

These are the bolts for the bottom of the fork.

I figure out I'm a little slow on the take... and the top of the dampening rods have 2 different size holes, and the 250r ones are smaller. Which I'm glad. i also put the bolt with the rod in to help slow the movement of fluid. Sounds logical right??
