I just bought a 82 Kawasaki KLT 200 the other day. I bought it from the original owner. He installed an hour meter on it when he bought it new, and it only has 19 hours on it.
The bike has not been started in 20+ years ( It looks brand new ). It turns over fine but has no spark. I am getting power to the coil.
Does anyone know the test procedure for checking the pulsing coil and cdi box? Or if its been covered in another thread, can you direct me to it. Thanks.

Thanks for the link and the welcome. I tested the pulsing coil first and there was no reading at all on the ohm meter which brings me to my next question, how does the left side cover come off? I removed all the screws and pried on it a little, but no go. Is there something I am missing?
