i just got my new jet kit an when i was replacing the jets the jet that was in the carb was a 45 and the 1 i got whit the kit is 42 witch should i use. my trike is board to 0.50 over and got a dg pipe plz help.

Always start fatter, then go leaner as needed. start with the 145 first. if it's a little too rich jump down to the 142. If you have better air filter on it as well you may even need to be a little richer then that..

I think the original poster is talking about pilot or slow jets; not main jets. A 45 pilot seems awfully rich. I would use the 42 but each carb is different.

I wouldnt think you would need to change the pilot jet with just a DG pipe. Might want to richen the main a step or 2 though, and possibly raise the needle a step as well, especially if running intake upgrades in conjuntion with your exhaust, like Chillian said...
The .050 over bore generally wont effect your jetting requirements.
