Congrats on finding that DB axle, I didnīt even know that DB made them for the Zinger.
I want to share some Zinger pics too, finally got my rear disc setup working (missing the lock nut yet) and switched to 8x6 Douglas wheels all around. Using adapter plates on the rear and new hub on front end.
Iīm using the 2 speed fully auto from the Towny on my boyīs bike. I saw complete engines selling on egay for like 80 bucks lately.
For my next projects I will use the cases on the pic 5, the also come with the 2 speed automatic plus an extra gimmick, guess what.....
See you guys at TF, bring your Zingers trailpro

I wouldnīt buy the intake, I got one a while back and didnīt like the quality at all. It also doesnīt work without cutting the frame.
A good place to get the rims cheap is here => http://www.southwestpowersports.com/douglas.htm
I used the 8X6 3B+5N 3/120MMLT80, the tires are the Carlisle Snow Hog 16x6,5-8 that you can get here =>http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?details=Ordern&cart_id=57969316.135.3225&typ=R-175752&ranzahl=4&Breite=16x6.50&Herst=Carlisle&Felge=8&weiter=0&kategorie=6&Ang_pro_Seite=15&Transport=P&dsco=135
Did anybody ever try the PVL ignition system from the PW ? Just asking before I spent 400$ on one of these.......

I can post more pics when Iīm back at my home pc. These kits will be for sale on eBay when I get the splines in the new brake hubs done.
It requires the use of a wilwood brake caliper.

The adapter plate is a bolt-on mod, you have to use it with a 2 piston Wilwood kart caliper. You can not use the stock skid plate anymore.

The kit that I will put on ebay soon will come with the adapter plate, a new brake hub, brake disc and a special banjo bolt to use a normal brake line on the kart caliper.
I use the kit with a left hand magura hydraulic clutch master and a custom brake line for that (these parts are not included).

All kit parts are cnc machined from steel and yellow zinc coated.

@CRAZY70MAN : How would you get the 70mph top speed ? After counting the teeth in the 2 speed tranny I think the Zinger will be only slightly faster. Not sure if together with pipe cylinder work etc, the bike can be soo fast.
But I already got a PW final drive to get that modified for the Zinger, not sure if it will last long though. Itīs all a littler weaker than the Zinger parts.

Can you make a guess about the RPMs that your Zinger makes when itīs done ?
I have the gear ratios and wanna calculate the top speed.
Or bring the bike to TF and I will bring the radar gun.
Just picked up another Zinger today, itīs a 4 Zinger though.
Gotta love this little Yamahasssssssss

That rear brake is impressive! Did you buy those wheel adapter plates or make them yourself? I'm rebuilding a zinger and have been trying to come up with a way to run those same wheels/tires.

I made the rear wheel adapter plates and will put some on ebay within the next 2-3 weeks after getting them cut more.
You can use them with these Douglas wheels 8X6 3B+5N 3/120MMLT80.

Count me in for a couple of sets. I'm currently working on a 4 zinger. I'll be looking out for them.

I don't want to hijack this thread but I am trying to figure out something that I think you guys can answer easily. My zinger doesn't have the kill switch or any other switches and it does not run well enough on the bottom end for the throttle screw to regulate speed. I'm building this for my little girl and need to regulate speed. I have read about a restrictor exhaust manifold gasket. Mine no longer has this. Does that make the motor run better on bottom end? Also, I have heard of a rev limiter but can't find one in the parts schematics. Was this standard on all models?
Any info is appreciated!

Thanks for all your help Bryan. I really appreciate you putting this experiment and rare screamer together for me. Ran it thru a few more heat cycles and got the fenders mounted and throttle cable a little better for now, I will need to order one the correct length. Dude that Jemco pipe rocks!! With the moped gears in the durablue axle rearend...she is a bit doggy with me on it on the bottom end but the rest is history!! Especially when it shifts into second!!!:lock::lock::lock: I get a big ole' smile every time I hear it shift. It begs for more on the top end. I am going to go easy on her for a few tanks and then gps it on the road. This thing looks and runs bad ass:twisted::twisted: Trikefest??

I will get the gps on it. I hope the throttle cable will work on you carb. The on I have on it is just a rigged up stock zinger and it is somehow long. I have it routed the longest way I can find and had to take out the slack by using tape to the bars. Should do the trick though for TF.... Learned first off by accident that a shot of NOS before you are up to speed will send this thing straight into the F#@!**% air!! Glad I bought 50 refills...went through 10 in first tests. A shot right after it shifts into second will send her screamin' and then the highway gears take over..lol.... Easy install. Drilled right into rear of the open air filter. Not many options for mounting bottle?? Maybe that carb will wake her up on the bottom huh Bryan??? Pretty happy so far

Wow....sorry it took 3 months to reply. Fabio piloted it at TF12. The clutch setup is not the lightened one it was designed to run with that I have not installed as it was broken and epoxied back together years ago. It was a total dog off the line but when Fabio hit the nos....she roosted and started to scream. If the track was 1/2 mile we could have won....... I am going to rework the clutch and springs and I am sure it will rip like it is supposed to. Oh ya...I am 230lbs. and it will top out with my gps at 35-38mph all day long and just touch 40 with the nitrous......
