You dont NEED an 8x8. You just need a rim that has a 8 inch diameter. Keep in mind rims have offsets. For example, my rims on my es are 12x7. 2+5 offset( 7 inches wide ) . The 2 +5 inches mean, that 2 inches away from the inside part of the rim (the part of the rim that is on the trikes side. The inner side.), it bolts to the hub. Say, it was 3+4, the rim would come in closer to the trike. The smaller the offset, the more width you will have with your trike.

Keep in mind your exhaust clearance when deciding on a rim/ tire to buy.

8x8,is a 8 in.high ,8 in wide. A 9x9 would be 9 in high 9 in wide, . A 10x8,is 10 high,, 8 wide. Get that? 2x6 is the off set, simply means the rims "center" is welded 2 inches in from one side, and 6 inches in from the other side. Follow that? A 10 in rim w a 6x4 offset,,would be welded 6 in in from one side,4 in from the other side. Hence giving you different "off sets" when you bolt them on inside out. Giving you a different width of your machine. You're fine w stock rims with ANY 8 in tire. A 22-11-8 tire is,,22 inches HIGH,,11 in WIDE,and mounts to a 8 inch rim. A 25 12 9 tire is 25 high,12 wide and only mounts to a 9 in rim. See,it's actually pretty simple. Post back w any other questions! We all have to learn somewhere! I hope this doesn't come across condescending,,because it is certainly NOT meant that way!! I always ran 18's at least on my 200X's back in the day.

The 2/6 means the center of the wheel is offset 2 inches from one end and 6 inches from the other 8 inches total. If your stock wheel has a 4 inch offset you would get 4 inches total more width using the new wheels. 2 inches per wheel

alright guys thanks for the help. i knew what the numbers ment however i was worried that the 7.50-8 tires on the 8x8 rims the tire would kind of stretch outwourd to seal on the lip.... if that makes since. anyhow i just bought the tires and im gunna put them on the stock rims there in good shape. thanks agian
