Well i was doing a wheelie through the field the other day and hit a bump and took a little tumble, nothing major at all. But after checking out the bike i seen the crack in the frame, usual spot by motor mount. It isnt bad but i started to strip it!!

I am going to gusset the frame and complete the blacking out. I may just black EVERY SINGLE PIECE on this trike. I also figure while i was doing one trike, i might as well do two of them....so i striped my other too!!

I took pics and will continue to through out this build, and am hopeing to have them back together within a week or 2......guess we will see how that goes ?¿?

Here is what I started with.....progress pics soon

that is my cousins old trike. he sold it to that guy for a grand last year about this time. $2500 is what the new owner is asking isnt he??
The only thing new owner has done is change all the rims and tires, it use to have a mud light on the front and turf tamers on the rear.
The 400ex carb on it was mine off my race 300ex.
If your interested in a black 350X...I may part with one...PM me.....i can tell you i wont ask $2500 for it, but if you want to give me that Ill take it

they are of a warrior, cut off all the tabs and welded a tab to the frame and also welded the guard to the bottom of the pegs for more strength.

Bare frame...well the bumper is still on because it made making the gussets easier
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=122936&d=1304112800

Few tools to start making gussets
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=122935&d=1304112796

Some of the templates and rough gussets cut out

I still need to make the wrap for the tube and the rod for under the seat area.....should get them welded in this weekend and then paint and reassemble

I'd black everything out except that seat, It'd look sweet with that red flash there, kinda like K.I.T.T.

pic of the main frame gusset, notice everything is tied in togetherhttp://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123274&d=1304477218

Went down a little further for more strength later down the road, also reinforced the swingarm pivot holes
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123268&d=1304477201

a different view.....damn tig blew a fuse and made to finish some with the mig....i hate having to clean up welds
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123270&d=1304477207
i went above and behond on the reinforcement.....may put a monster in there!

Cut the stop off to allow the longer rubber boot
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123269&d=1304477204

Plate cut off and coil bracket removed to be replaced later
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123272&d=1304477213

Brackets removed from oil cooler to be rewelded
http://www.3wheelerworld.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=123273&d=1304477215

well that was enough for the day.....got both frames gueested, one MIG and one TIG welded....man i love who the TIG comes out. Still need to weld the brackets on the frame for the second oil cooler and reweld the brackets on the cooler in the correct location. Works call for the rest of the week so maybe this weekend i can get the rest welded up this weekend....the week or 2 build looks like it will be longer than expected, imagine that
