It's only on the letters and the rest is a nice blue. But there is like black mold or mildew right on the "250R" I don't want to wear off the lettering, I was hesitant to try bleach. Any suggestions?? THX

Try Simple Green, it removes a lot of stuff.

use bleach, but use a very dilute soulution (50:1) and rinse with clean water right away, and you should be good. I know a guy who restores old vehicles and he swears by it. I even saw him use it on red velour and I thought it was going to ruin it. Turns out it looks like new now.

Only run 50:1 if its synthetic bleach. If you use cheap bleach, mis it at 32:1.

Sorry Dan, couldnt resist!

He is right though. A bleach solution is commonly used in housepainting when stripping old paint becuase tt kills the mildew.

if it's available in your area a product called Wesley's Bleachwhite works great. It's sold in auto parts stores for cleaning whitewall tires. Spray it on, let it set about 5 minutes ,rinse it off with warm soapy water and a if it's really cruddy scrub with a nylon stiff bristled brush.
