anybody need powdercoating done?

im starting my powdercoating oven build when i get home from school today im making it out of a 250 gallon drum and building a cage out of angle iron around it and packing that with insulation then putting sheetmetal around that i am using the heater out of a hotwater tank my friend gave me since it has the heat dial and thermometer right on it it should work pretty good....also ordering my gun after school if anybody wants some powdercoating done i live in garden michigan ill do it cheaper than your local shop will

Hot water tank heaters have to be in water or they will die. The stats read water temp, not air temp.

Nothing wrong with buying simple oven elements and a RobertShaw thermostat, then a cheap oven thermometer to dial it in. Mine at 275 is 400 degrees.

You can find elements at the dump or on the curbside/Craigslist.

I rows of steel (I used coat hangers ) up top so anything can be hung.........

I also just started powder coating. I had a guy build me an oven. It lays on the floor. It is fully insulated and has a cart that u hang the pieces on and roll it into the oven. Can do whole frames. The dimensions r 74.5 long 42.5 high and 28.5 wide.

A 250 gallon drum would be around 35 cubic feet which will take about 10,000 watts of heating elements on a 50 amp 220 vac circuit. You will need air circulation to move the air. Convection heating is far more efficient than radiant heating and the moving air will save you time, money and frustration in the long run.

im building a gas oven o might put 3 gas oven elements in it
