It still needs more work. The sprockets are badly worn. The chain adjustment is maxed and there is still slop in the chain. I'm gonna get a 1/2 link kit.
I have to change the rear axle and put new wheel studs in one hub. Past owner had smaller diameter bolts in it. I'm sure that's great for getting the rim centered.

Looks like you got a good deal if it only needs a chain and sprockets, and wheel studs. Does it run good?

It runs good now after a new carb, also replaced the front and rear fenders. I have a rear axle on the way, its bent bad. Just ordered all axle bearings and seals. I tuned it up and I'm happy so far. So far the bill is $485

Where can I get a 1/2 link kit for the chain? I looked on ebay, no luck. I'm thinking I might be able to take a whole link out of it and move the swing arm back to beginning of the adjustment.

Not bad, I'm at like 500 into my 86, and it still needs work and doesn't look near that good, but I got an extra gear and 3 more HP

Never heard of a half link, and I have never had luck with just taking a link out. I know you don't want to spend a lot on it, but i think you can find a chain on flea bat for under $30 shipped

Thats in pretty good shape not bad considering the fact that some people want $600 and they don't tell you about something thats really bad about it did you buy it off the internet or from someone you know cause i having seen any good deals lately.:(

I could probably sell this for a profit now.

Now I have around $825 into it. I think that still a good deal for a solid machine. Its needed much work but I like saving atv's from rednecks.

Those are ARTRAX 20x11x9. I have a tread on what tires sizes to run and a memeber posted a link for the tires. They were $103 shipped for a pair.
