Can anyone tell me the interchangeability of rear hubs and wheels on different axles on a 250R? I know 81 and 82 had 3 lugs but will a hub from an 85 250R fit on that axel? Will a rim from an 84 fit on the hub of an 85?

For the most part, Honda hubs fit Honda axles. You should be able to swap pretty much any kind of hub you want.

My ATC90 has 4 lug hubs, originally 3. I don't know where the hubs on my ATC 200m came from, but they are not original.

Now if your axle splines are worn out a little, you can fit Yamaha hubs on them lol.

almost all honda hubs have 24 spline axles, which means you can interchange them across the board.

I know 81-84 250r and 83-85 200x are the same, but 3rd gen R hubs are definitely different splines

Thank you for the replies. What about the rims?. Are all the rear rims the same as far as mounting them?. They all have the same lug space if they are 4 lug rims?

The '82 250R is also a 3 bolt hub?? I thought the '82 went to 4 bolt. Mine is 4 bolt.

Yes, i knew it. the '82 250R is 4x130 rear.

as far as rims, depends on the hubs your using, for example, if you wanted to use the far better designed rear hubs from a trx450r on your R, then you would end up with a natural +1" per side and can use ALL 4/110 rims. if want nicer than that, Lonestar Billet hubs for a Banshee (slides right on ) and you can then use 4/115 rear rims, which are a little cheaper for most styles of rim, including beadlocks.

Wow. TY for the info guys. The chart really helps. I have 4 trikes I am going to rebild soon. 2 82's an 85 and an 86 atc 250r. I will let you know how there comming. and maybe post some pics and stuff.

I put 450 hubs on my 85 and the 85 hubs went on my 81 worked like a charm and looks great.
