Just picked up a 1985 KLT 160. Really good shape except the gas tank and choke cable. Does anyone know where I could find these parts? I know there are very rare but any information would be great. Thanks Scott

Your not gonna find a gas tank, is it fixable? like does it have 2 hole it or just a bunch of large pin holes? Your best bet of prolly off a 110, they crop up every one in a while, don't know if it's the same tank or not. A for choke cable I'd say that's pretty generic but you can check here for some parts:

link is for 185 parts but it's the same as the 160...doon't know if it helps or not.

Yea the tanks pretty rusted, a bunch of holes on the lower left side, somebody had kreemed it but may not of had all the rust cleaned out. I have been thinking about making a new piece and then just weld it in, can't be any different than a body panel except the gas fumes, that is the only draw back. We have a KLT 110 and the tanks look the same so we are watching for one of those also. The cable has a plastic nut on it where it mounts on the carb, it is broke off. Is the choke cable the same as a starter cable?
