Why not call the dealer?? I get lots of parts for my trikes at the Honda shop..they still have the lookup for these old units.

ive tried contacting my dealer... apperently my dealer is useless... i dont know what to do. in the above links to diagrams of the left side crank case area, it goes on BEFORE the needle bearing that the driven starter gear rides on. if anyone has ever taken the starter gears apart, they have prolly seen it. and if you have, why is it that honda has no ideagrams for that washer nor part numbers??

the dealers in most locations dont know a DAMN thing about old school atc's they are all youngens that never seen a REAL mud bike and think banshees and raptors are the best. best thing to do is look thru ebay theres always a few ppl selling misc box of parts that might help out more then spending days or weeks trying to find a single washer.

hey, do you mean between the timing gear and the needle bearing for the starter driven gear on the crankshaft behind the flywheel?

hey, found it, but goes between the starter driven gear and the flywheel in the picture.
shows it in the alternator break down pic, #24. honda #90461-883-810 about $7.
call your dealer with that number.

i dont think 24 is the one... i have that one.. theres one that goes on the crank after the lower timing gear, and berore the needle bearing. its the only thing that stops the starter gear from sliding further down the crank and hitting the casing. and yes, i agree. the dealers are filled with punk kids who have never even rode a 3 wheeler before.
