This is Bandito90's Tri Zinger (used to be mine, lol) and He just installed a BW80 front suspension on it. We heard it was a bolt on but it is not. Looks good, should work good, just a fair amount of machining to get it on there. Now we need to decide if its getting a front brake or not.

I know this is an older post, but I am interested to know how the BW80 front suspension rides? How much higher does the front sit compared to stock? As for a fender, how about a BW80 front fender? BW80 rim and tire too?

The trike has not been riden yet, its apart for paint and rebuild. Sits about an inch higher, but if you go with the BW80 front rim and tire it will be much taller.

I'm interested in how it rides.....Please update this thread when you get a chance. Also, what about using a PW50 fork? How would that work?

That is fantastic! Any updates on this? Was the front wheel ever centered? Did you get a front fender on there? What exactly was the process to getting this front end on there?

@crazy70man, This is my bike and It's been pretty much on the back burner of my project list. We were just discussing it over the weekend. Probably going to start back on it soon.
Hopefully it can make it to Trikefest.
@Fabio, The tire is not center and a fender has not been chosen yet, As far as building it. We cut the steering stem off the Zinger fork and the cut the shaft of the BW80 lower triple. From there I believe a hole was bored in the BW triple
And the shaft from the Zinger welded in. My memory is foggy on the last step.
Hopefully,Bruce will remember and chime in.

Crazy70...if it makes it to Trikefest 13 and Tim isn't watching I will let you ride it,lol I am glad this thread is back up it will motivate him to get this one done!! Bandito is right (I think) we did cut off the zinger stem and if I remember right ( I will know when we take it back apart) I cut the BW stem off and enlarged the hole in the center of the stem and welded the zinger stem inside the BW stem base. understand? We will get pics later and yes we need to get this one up and moving I want to ride it also.

I like this set up, I'd like to know about the adjustable handle bars. What bike are those off of? I'd like to get a set similar for my tri zingers. I'm not a fan of the welded bars on my trikes.
Right now I've got a new DG Exhaust, Boysen Power Reeds, and a larger set of foot pegs for my 85 YT60. I'm going to look into mounting some kind of light on the front for night riding.
This will be nice to see when it's complete!

The clamps are off a Honda and the bars are MSR mini bars. Had the bar setup on the original forks. Just had to drill the holes in the upper clamp bigger.

Rise from the dead old thread! I used bandito's vague description to do this swap myself, so here are some vague pictures to go along with his description...
