Is this a common problem with the 200 heads? the aluminum race is worn in the head. Seems like it had a ton of hours on the engine, or it lost oil pressure? Can I run it like this? Too bad if not, the guides are perfect, and the seats would be happy with a lite lap.
Cant upload pics, will try again in a while

So what would happen if I just decided to run it this way?

Yep that head is Junk and the cam prob to . It might run with it but you take a risk of messing up your pulse generator parts . Check your rod/pin bearings while your at it , they go bad about the same time .

Its real common on those engines. Usually from people using gasket sealant on the head and clogging oil passages. Most of the time the cam can be saved, just clean the alluminum off with sand paper.

cam looks and measures good. Upper and lower rod bearing is good, what pisses me off is the head is really perfect otherwise, exhaust studs came out, spark plug threads perfect, guides perfect, seats lappable, the bike had amazing compression, just BLOWING BLUE SMOKE BIGTIME. besides searching for "Honda 200X Head" on ebay, what other 200 model heads will work. I am very very tempted to just do the piston/bore/valve seals and timing chain and run it. hell the new t-chain and the .003" rocker clearance will keep it from slapping around ... just viewed my vid again ... maybe not. Shortline ya saved me on my last trike, sending you a PM.

Thanks for that info,
this head is toast, I put the head cover on and then the cam cover, the cam is so far out of center on the cam seal, that it opens up the seal about 20 thou, shoot!!!
