Im trying to change the brakes on my trike (84alt125).
I got everything off and ready to take drum off. This is where im stuck. In the book it says it pulls off. I tried pulling, turning, tapping and pleading! wont come off. When i try to turn drum, it turns about 1/8" and the bike moves, so it cant be brakes are ceased (holding drum on). Any tips on removing?
My foot brake lever moves (although I have to force it back and forth). I have no hand lever.

Has anyone had a stuck drum? How did you get it off?

Try taking a torch to it, it may be rusted in place.

Beat on it with a dead blow hammer. It will come off.

be careful where you hit the drum. 2 weeks ago I shattered mine on my 200e, luckily my bud found me another drum for 20 clams. keep your whacks as close to the center of the drum where its stronger as you can. do yourself a favor and apply heat. good luck.
