Just acquired a 1982 yamaha 175 tri moto and a 1983 yamaha 125 tri moto. Lookin at buying a manual online but before I do this, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference between a 175J and a 175K is? (sorry but I'm a complete virgin to these things)

The clutches are the main differences. The 82 and the 83 use a different clutch pack, but the same clutch disc(every year same disc). Also the 125s are different from the 175s.
If you like them and want more speed, let me know :-p
The 82's and 83's use a different reed cage also, the 83 is a little longer.
