Not to be a dick but.....just helpful

Guys and Gals, the good folks here have spent many hours accumulating service manuals and service data for a whole slew of trikes not to mention, I believe they pay out of their own pockets to host the service manual website.

All of this is FREE to use from one or two trike afficianados to you, the member.....check the World Class Help subforum. In the very least, show your appreciation for these guy`s efforts by downloading a manual

there isn`t much excuse for NOT saving yourself $30 AND driving the veteran members nuts with questions that could be answered by downloading or at least reading the manual.

You are also asking questions at your own risk. No offense to those who are trying to help, but I see some truly BAD mechanical advice being given here from time to time that could potentially cost you alot of frustration, anger, and money should you heed the advice given in some cases. Keep in mind you may be getting wrench advice from a 15 yr.-old kid who hacked together a lawnmower engine in shop class and now he`s a factory race mechanic....or at least plays one on the internet.

MonroeMike has that link in permanent "copy/paste" mode I believe....very patient man, indeed.

Secondly, I think the mods and Admins have been working to make the search feature more efficient. Please use this feature to help you in your quest to answer any questions you might have. There are currently FOUR DIFFERENT threads on page one of Trikesylvania that are asking the same question and I`m sure this cluttering -up of the board would have been avoided if these folks would have done a search....try different keywords if you don`t get the results you need. For example: instead of "83 200X carb upgrade" try using "1st gen 200X carb suggestions" and the like. Sometimes the results may not be what you are looking for and just changing the search keyword(s) can give you totally different results.

I`m not a Mod or Admin and I`m not trying to be nor am I trying to assert my "assumed authority" on the membership here....just trying to help. Not to mention, my ulterior motive is to stop wasting mouse clicks on seven threads from seven different members all asking the same question. There are four threads on here today about what carb to use on a 200X, which is something that`s been covered before several times.

Mods and Admins, please delete this post if you feel I`m out of line...you have my apologies beforehand. I`m not here to stir the Turd Gumbo.

New members......There has been alot of time and effort by NUMEROUS members here to help everyone keep these machines running tip-top. Show your appreciation by downloading and using the manual and please use the Search feature before posting. Asking a service manual question is kinda like kicking the guy who spent all the money and effort making these available...what would be the point providing this service if nobody reads a manual they can get for free and just posts a new thread every time?

You can throw rocks at me at Trikefest if you don`t like this thread....I`ll be the big and tall guy on an over-invested 200X  Should be an easy target :naughty:

Thanks
