Need Sprocket Suggestions for my 86 200x

My current sprocket sizes are 15/38 and I bought a new chain and it is to short so I think I need to get a smaller rear sprocket to make the chain fit so I need sggestions on sprocket sizes, I ride it down my road and love how fast it goes but I do ride trails that are very open and go muddin, and I would appreciate what the stock sprocket sizes are for the 86 200x.

On my 86 200x I have to run a half link, the factory chain had one also, and no matter what I adjust it always come's out to loose or to short.

I was thinking about running a half link also but I can find them online, would any store carry one?

I run one also, but I have the motor to turn the gears.......

They are hard to find in true 520 chain size, check EBAY, snowmobile dealers, Tsubaki, DID etc etc

I can't recall if stock is 13-38 or 13-40 but your pulling a pretty tall gearing there.

the sizes for stock gearing is 12-40 on the 84x

If I got a smaller back sprocket would the chain fit? It almost fits its about a half link to short so mabey if I go down two teeth on the rear it might fit
