It needs both front and rear plastics. It needs a carb. What would be a good carb to put on it? Are there any performance engine parts available for this trike?

Check out Maeir plastics. Poweroll is a good place to get performance engine parts for the 200X. The XR200 carb is a good upgrade or a comparable 28 or 30 mm carb depending on your motor upgrades and whatnot. Bassani aftermarket pipes are the bee's knee's too, I had one on my 84 200X and it was a nice difference but pretty mean sounding. DG and Supertrapp are supposed to be good exhausts as well.

Depending on what you want to do with the trike should be the basis for what you do the motor. If you want a reliable hard running trail bike, just bore to the next size get some mild head work done, port polish, 10.25:1 piston and a bigger cam, carb and exhaust. If you want a balls to the wall racer, then start looking at the stroker kits, 12:1 pistons, bigger valves, and a wild cam.

They are great machines for what they are, just don't expect it to smoke a 250R because they weren't designed to do that. But they are smaller, lighter, and more nimble I feel than the 250R's which makes for a different kind of fun. Have fun man and let's see some pics of the ole girl!

I would take some pics but I had to keep it in my buddies garage for now. My wife would flip if she knew I bought another one. So I have to sell my 83 atc 110 before I can take this one home.
I got the bike today for $275 and it was only 30 min drive from home. I thought it was a good deal. I will probably do the 10.25 piston, cam and head work down the road.
I appreciate the info, thank you.

Would this be a good replacement for now? Get a bigger one down the road when the mods are done.

I picked up my 3 wheeler habbit after we were married. I had a 350x when I was a kid. Now that I'm married I need a hobby, lol.

Ok so I have an update. My wife says I have to sell a trike before I can get another. I don't mind anyway. I don't have much storage to work with. I'm going to sell my 1983 ATC 110. I will go as low as $650 for it. Its completely rebuilt. I ran an ad on craigs list and I'm getting some calls and been getting some work. So I told her that it was a customers trike that he got for $100.
It located a good used axle for $66 shipped. I found front and rear fenders for the 200x and a front fender for the 110 for $80 and my folks picked them up on the way here from northern wi. No shipping, bonus! I got the carb for $30. I paid $275 for it. I think I'm going to have a nice ride for cheap.
Friend was saying I think its the 86-87 hubs have a wider offset. I would like to get wider tires, probably 18's. and bump up the front sprocket a tooth. I did that to my 350x 20 years ago and I would fly by my cousins on the same bike but they had stock tires. I went as big in the front and as small i could in the rear though. It still would pull wheelies in 3rd gear.
When I do the axle where is a good place to find new seals?

250, 300 or 400EX hubs, I just got a set off ebay for $35, they look like they will add a few inches.
