if you have never ridden a 250r.. i say stay away from a stroked motor,, what they do is incerase the stock stroke from 72mm to what ever.. its all special and you can't just swap any old parts around,,, i say again stay away ,,,, especially if its tore down,,,,,

what does a stroker have to do with that???? my 250r FLYS and its not a stroker..... besides i would NEVER spend $1000 on a motor thats tore down......

ok thanks I'm not to keen on buying a motor apart. a stock motor will be fine for me. this was the first one that came up. i will stay away. in not looking for something bored to death. and beat to hell. thanks for the info.

Well if I understand right, you are kind of wondering what a stroker is in the first place. It's a motor with a larger crank, which allows the piston to travel down further on it's stroke (hence the name), pulling more gas and air, and also giving a little more of a larger displacement effect.
Hope that helped a little bit.

Huh....your a goofball

Bore is more important then stroke.

I would also agree with Richard, if your kinda new to the 250R motor, I would steer clear of anything that is not assembled unless its all parts still in their new packing and you have somebody with you that knows what each item is for/does so to confirm all is there. Nonetheless, 1k seems quite high for a 250r motor with stock cylinder
