NEW my arse. I have an 85 Big Red. It has no yellow, no red on motor, and black headlight guard. Not to mention the front fork boots are not factory.

Yeah I dont think its all factory by far, but as far as being bought in 2000 that is possible. My local honda shop found an 86-87 200X still in the crate in the back of their warehouse in 97. They had a fire in part of the shop and insurance covered everything in the warehouse. I guess that box just got forgot about for many many years but that sucker was brand spankin new. To this day I dont know what they did with it...........peace

i wouldnt dought it. Look at some pics of hand controls and what not. I bet he bought it in 2000. But after that he trashed that nice bike.

The Red I have looks at least that good. I bought as the second owner. I got it in 2001.

Thats more like it.

Few other bits spotted on the other one,
not original front brake lever mounting
Rust on the rear brake lever fixing
Seat cover doesnt look genuine.

but
Racks, well the one still fitted looks undamaged
Plastics look good
Tank not dented
