I know I've said I wasn't going to get anymore but I made an exception this 1 time. Found it sitting behind a guys house that I used to know and stopped to ask about it. I ending up trading for it and brought it home. I've still got a China 200cc electric start engine that manual clutch and has reverse that might find it's way into the chassis.
The good:
Pretty good fenders and seat (OEM front fender and seat)
Suspension is good
Plastic tank
9" rear wheels (not badly bent up, going on the 350X)
Good tires, no cracking and holding air
Complete engine, 80 psi on the compression gauge
frame is straight
Nice complete DG exhaust for my other 200X
The bad:
Master cylinders are no good
No rear caliper, wrong rear master cylinder
No headlight
Levers and perches no good
Mismatched thumb are throttle
No carb
Unknown condition of ignition stuff
Here's pics

Heck ya. You can upgrade to that china motor, the X motor is junk anyhow, and have electric start, that'd be cool. If your chinese is a Lifan, the DG exhaust will mount up, or the stocker off other X. That tank, as said, is cool and the rest is there. Perches are cheap, I've loaned 200x perches to friends to us on Chinese 110 dirtbikes and they fit. Can have a nice runner for cheap. And as for brakes I've read on here that they're way over rated anyhow, just make sure you let your kids ride and test how fast and good the trike runs with out brakes before you get on it, don't want ya getting hurt.

I say toss it all together and see what you get. No need to throw away a perfectly good engine if it works well.

I was doing really good too, I hadn't bought a trike in like 4 weeks. I even walked on a 350X parts bike yesterday (complete except for plastic and seat). the timing was good on this one. The wife was gone to town with the kid and I was able to get it home and into the shop without her seeing it. She came out in the shop when she got home and didn't even notice this one was new but I had it in the back of the shop with the 70's up against it, LOL.
Tell me more about the tank, I didn't even know it was plastic until I started taking the pictures at home. It does have an IMS filler cap but the shourds don't fit well.

The need to turn the forks past the stock turning point was needed in race conditions so IMS made this tank and it was great and held up good for MX also . Most people used aftermarket shrouds (maier or SRP) so fitment was as good as the installer LOL . Stock 200x tanks fell apart in MX conditions , the tank ears would bend and crack .

I decided that I would just put this one back with parts I had here and have me a rider. I did have allot of new parts (including an engine) and a few boxes of used parts that I had bought when I came across them. I took it all apart, gave it a go over with the pressure washer then started putting it back together and digging through boxes to find parts. I ended up with this. It runs good, the clutches clip a little in high, the valves need adjusting (the engine had not been started since rebuild) and both the harnesses I had were cut up so I don't have a kill switch. The suspension is spring only and I'm looking into how to rebuild the forks and shock today. I decided I would build a high compression, cammed, big bore to go in to the other 200X from the engine that came with this one. All and all, it's not bad. I think I have just under $400 in it the way it sits.

Nope, holding the moster down-LOL. The seat and tank has a big gap between them, I was hoping that holding it down would help it. I heated the seat pan up a before I put the fenders on. The tie down was just to pull the seat to the tank. Maybe a couple of times doing that it will fix the gap.

^ Good idea. Also, pop the staples, if the seat was recovered, often they pull it to tight. But if that works I have some work to do (and duh, I have re-formed fenders etc., but that didn't even dawn on me, lol).
