Hey guy I was reading the owners namual for my 84 250r and it said to put holes in your front fender to help air flow?? Any one do this, the front fender on my bike isnt the right one on and is kindy beat so it wouldnt matter. Thanks Aaron121700121699121698

i never did that on my 300R.... no need for it... 81 and maybe 82 250r's had factory louvers, they stopped making them like that for a reason i would guess that it wasnt needed lol

I believe MAIER made a vented front fender.
The 200X doesn't have an oil cooler, small scoops and a cam that rides on aluminum and is notorious for wearing out, especially if the oil isn't clean and full.
I think it's a good idea personally......

This 300R owned by 350xinNY has one... he received it drilled on the bike when he picked up this old ice racer... thats me at Icefest 2010 sadly we didnt see it out of the barn this year..:(

Not sure that would be worth it as your fender is not blocking much air... From what I can see in the pics, the lower part of the fender is lined up with the very top of the motor.
You can really see in Raffa's pics that the front fender would block a lot of air from flowing to the engine if it had no holes.

It may help with air on a MX or TT track, but back when we raced cross country races(now called GNCC) the holes or louvers just let more mud in to pack up the cooling fins,

Thats what would happen where I ride. lol Thanks for the input guys Iam just going to leave it alone for now
