I recently picked up an '82 atc110 and the engine/transmission are completely wasted. I was thinking about picking up a Lifan 125 or 140cc and dropping it in place of my tired 110. Isn't the increased displacement from increasing the bore/stroke, so this motor should just drop right in, is that correct?
Secondly, without the high/low transfer case, can I just change the gearing to get better low end? This is for my 60 yr old dad during hunting season, so he won't be going any faster than 15-20 mph on pretty flat dirt roads. I was thinking a Lifan with 4 spd tranny has enough potential to be geared down and not kill the motor.
