Can anyone provide a close up picture of the cam chain tensioner adjusting bolt/nut on an 84 200es?

Took the rubber cap off today to tension it, and saw that previous owners had apparently replaced the 6mm bolt with a 12mm bolt. I'm not sure whats exactly supposed to be there, and the manual's picture is vague. Thanks!

You can zoom in and look at that 1 if it helps

Ouch, thats a big difference.

I know you aren't supposed to allow the bolt to turn when adjusting, and while attempting to adjust, after soaking in PO, I can't turn the nut without the bolt trying to move, and thats with a wrench holding the bolt. I'll take a pic tomorrow to post.

There's no need to hold the 6mm bolt with a wrench. It's gonna turn with the adjusting bolt, it's threaded in there tight. Hate to see you strip it or snap it off.

Ah, thats exactly what I was hoping, thanks.

The manual is a bit confusing on the topic, saying not to loosen the bolt while adjusting, but turning the nut. Thanks Monroe!

Afterthought - The 6mm bolt is removed separately, to stick a screwdriver in there, when you need slack in the cam chain. Page 6-15 of the manual (not sure how deep you've been in the engine, you may already know this).

I've never split the case on it, or had it apart at all actually.
