250sx issues...

Hey folks!
got the 250sx running today, but it has a few issues. first is the kick start isn't engaging some times it will just free wheel, but the starter works just fine. Is that going to hurt anything by leaving the kick start broken? also the choke cable and lever on the handlebars is trashed. is there something i can use to operate the choke? anyone got any good remedies for this? thanks folks.

im having the same problem with the kick start to my sisters sx and dirtcrasher told me it was the one way bearing.

and as for the choke cable do u really use it alot to start the bike?

no I don't, but its my girls trike, I want it to work as it should..... it starts up just fine without it, but I have another question, the trike is lacking top end power.. it has the stock carb which has 3 jets, which one is for top end power? the carb sat for eons so best I can figure its still clogged somewhere.

oh yeah and I got an answer on the broken kick start.. as long as its not clunking and banging its fine.. that is unless the battery goes dead....

main jet is 130 stock i took mine up to a 134 and it helped out alot.
