Picked up a project Big Red recently. First thing was to rethread the stripped plug hole.
Original thread was 12mm x 125(DR8ES), so I drilled & tapped to 14mm x 125, using a BKR5ES the local NAPA guy crossed for me. Turns out the terminal is not removable to use the inner narrow, threaded stud, so I need a different 14mm plug. Anybody have a suggestion?

Go back to napa and explain to the guy what you need, If there anything like my local napa, you will end up with a plug that will work. lol. There should be a plug close to it that has the threaded terminal part. You could also get a heli-coil kit for spark plugs. Dad did it with my klt and it works very nicely. it'd probably be best to take your head off to do this so you don't get chips in the motor.

If it was me id go and buy a heli-coil and just make it back to the original drain plug size. When you drill and tap the hole make sure you grease the drill bit and tap so that chips will get stuck to them and not end up inside your motor.
