FINALLY! Just purchased an '85 Tecate

Ok I grew up on one of these dudes and finally found a good one I can afford. and to sweeten the deal I got a bonus R1 1000cc motor to go with it. The guy didnt really know what he had and didnt want to deal with it. It looks like the R1 will pay for the bulk of the bike! I just got my new plastics for under $200 and cant wait for them to get here!! It has a new wiseco piston and a DG tip. These are some pics from his house. $800 for all of it what do guys think?

Also do you guys know... will the front fork boots off an 86 kxt fit an 85?

You're lucky. Specially' iffin' ya don't have to do a bunch and just pretty it up with fenders. That's well worth the $800 there. Don't know much about the extra motor, but no matter how much you sell it for, that brings the total cost way under a grand. Awesome preformance and stylin' for under a grand right there!
