headlight switch

So I have a 1980 YT125, and the light is always on when it is running, which it is supposed to do. but I only do a little bit of riding at night, so I dont want the light buld always on, because then it would burn out quickly. Has anyone made switches for this so you can turn the light on and off? Anybody know how to do it?

how often and long are you riding for that you worry about burning out the bulb? i think mine was factory when i tore the trike down to rebuild it and it worked fine.

Well when I do ride during the day, I ride for a few hours, but I ride mostly in the day, and I dont want the light on. and I dont want to go riding at night and have my bulb burn out
