so im sapose to tap out my axle and it is very stuck. i dont wanna beat on it to much and ruin the threds anyone kno a way to free it up? its on a ytm 225Dx so i dont wanna just go in and start pushing on things with the shaft drive

Make sure you leave the nut on to cover the threads. Use a block of wood, a BFH, and hit it..

good luck those are the worst axles to get out... make sure your driving it the right way they only go out one way if i remember right, been a while but the last one i did took a 20 ton press and then the housing split... i had to cut the bearing races to get them off after the worst stuck axle i have ever worked on....
but hey i'm sure it'll come out...

put the hub back on and take a piece of wood (4x4) and drill out a area for the axle nut to go over then duct tape it to the hub and proceed to BEAT the crap out of it. Do not beat on the nut!

hey i got it out i held the frame while my dad whacked it with a super sludge hammer

the way i get stuck parts out is to lossen the bolts and go for a hard rip
