1983 200E Big Red - Add reverse?

Hello everyone. I'm new as you can probably tell. I have a 1983 Big Red that I love, but I would like to add reverse...is that possible? Can I put a 1984 trans in it? Alternatives/suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

Your only option is to keep your eyes peeled, and I mean peeled. There was an aftermarket manufacturer that made a reverse gear for your bike, it does however eliminate lo range I think. I have only ever seen 1 or 2 of these ever.
