I got a bad bog when going wot from idleing there, breaks up a bitt in the higher revs. Took of air bix lid no change. Bone stock other than uni air filter. Pilot screw does nothing for the bog. Do I bump up my slow or main jet? Or something else. Please help I'm new to this. First trike. Had 2 carbs on same thing. Cleaned 5 times new rebuild kit with fresh jets and new gass. Inline filter.

well, sounds like your jetting is way off. remember idol to 1/4 throttle is pilot jet, 1/4 to 3/4 is slide jet, 3/4 to WOT is main. figure out what position of your throttle it starts to bog and go from there

I wonder if its me not having a battery causing a weak spark maybee. Do any of u guys run without a battery?

I have an 85 250sx and I took my battery off cuz it was dead. Plus kickstarting it is easy enough. If I'm wide open for a few seconds and back off the throttle, the bike will stall. Maybe it's a battery issure as well? I have no idea

Look at your spark plug thats the best way to see if the jetting is off, if the plug is black that means its too rich. If the plug is white it is too lean, you want your plug to look cinnamon brown and it will run perfect.

Mines is doing the same, wont rev when I give it full throttle while its idling. Got a new carb kit and cleaned the carb couple of times also. It's running fine other than that and my plug is kinda golden so I guess my jetting is good. Maybe the cheap carb kit they sell on ebay is causing the problem???

Whell I got the good kit from a local shop. Forget the name. But keep me updated and I will to you. Its just frustrating. Everything good other than full throtle off idle. I'm going to do my valves this weekeng and pull the carb again. Well see what happens. Do you have a oring on top of your pilot jet? The one in front of the bowl. I've seen a pic in the manual and it shows 2 orings 1 on the bottom and 1 by the flathead part in the gap??????

I just rebuilt my 1985 250sx carb on Monday and the pilot screw does have 2 o-rings. I used the cheap Moose rebuild kit (with stock size jets) from eBay with excellent results. Mine is also bone stock other than a Uni filter. Goodluck!
