i have a set of 7mm wires from a old car. read about moding this. there not solid core. but i think they will work. get a screw cap adapter for the spark plug. anyways anybody did this with a cheap set of wires? was there any added performance? like better spark, easier starting, idles smother ect. thanks.

Its only a couple dollars a foot for new spark plug wire from a motorcycle shop. I was going to try it when I had a broken plug wire but didn't seem worth the hassle since new stuff is so cheap, and the right diameter.

i used some MSD coil wire thatw as new elft oveer fomr one of my old drag cars I used to build. (went through coils like crazy). it bolted right oin and worked awesome! just an FYI. you will have to shave some of the outter housing of the wire off so it will fit down into the coil peice, or you can get a 92 accord coil wire frrom the honda shop new for like $12 and cut the ends and use it. either will work.
