alright i was riding 6 gear almost pinned,my bike randomly died like motor completely off sounded like it was missing,i kicked it up it wanted to turn on the first couple kicks then just didnt want that......it has alot of compression (new gaskets and rings, cylinder and piston are still good) my spark plug fouled real bad last night but that was because i was running super rich during the break in (5 minute warm ups a couple times a week, half throttle ride for 20 minutes then let cool down) so i cleaned my spark plug and its not damaged.....what could it be?!?!?!??! 85 R

sounds like you may have intermittent spark too?

It works when hooked to the plug but not against the head.?

If it was mine,
I'd assume the plug wire is barely making contact and if moved at ALL,
like to the head,
it stops conducting.

I'd nip the last tiny 1/4 inch off the plug wire if you have enough wire to
still reach.

Sometimes that makes ALL the difference in the world.

Maybe even wiggle/clean/check plug wire to coil too
and plug cap screw.
coil ground screw etc etc.

No reason to walk home for something silly.
