I don't have access to the build page so I'll post it here, maybe the powers that be can put it in it's place. Either way it's a top notch build, for me anyway.

I bought this trike for $500 in real rough shape, to be a parts bike and then I needed a new project... Enter: The Phoenix Project, the ultimate duner, named the Phoenix because when it's done it will have risen from the ashes and what the hell it sounds kind of menacing too. I'm not looking to be the fastest, I just wanted something with a mild port geared more towards mid range for nice smooth over all power and very reliable. As for looks, well I wanted it to be an eye catcher. So here it is in the beginning stages, I started the build in August of '09 and there are a few more things I'd like to do to it before I declare it's finished.

I went with a black, polish, chrome and a splash of blue color scheme. I had all the black parts pc'd and the rest either polished or chromed.

The motor is a stock cylinder bored out to 68.5 that I ported and polished. I'm running a 39mm PWK and ESR head pipe and stinger with air box elim kit.

Looks great! Those calipers turned out sweet. They look good with the contrast against the polished forks.

I went with a +4 Westcoast swinger so I can adjust the ride hieght and a 2+2 axle for stability. Had to have the Westcoast dipped in chrome!

That is gorgeous! Definitely a great build. Where did you have it polished? Looks great. Its builds like these that makes me have the patients to do my Tri-Z up right. There is a nagging voice in the back of my head that just wants to hear the Tri-Z run and ride it. But then I see this and it makes me want to wait to do it up right. That thing is a work of art.

Man, you and ezmoney and your patience and attention to detail makes me sick. Makes me happy to look at, but p!$$es me off I don't have that ability. I tip my hat to you, even though it makes me jealous. May the force be with you young Skywalker (the pictures are like the landspeeder shots...I need some sunny weather, losin' it)

I bought it in late '09 from a guy who was manufacturing them in Australia who no longer has access to make any more and it's not painted, glad I got it when I did. It's made of fiberglass

I can't tell you how much I felt the same way, just get it running already, but once you start putting on parts and it starts to take shape, it won't allow you to cut corners.

Thanks for all the kind words, I really love my trike and treat it with the utmost care, but believe me it gets ridden, after all it is my "daily driver". I love it when you pull up to someone in the dunes who know and love these machines as much as I do and see their reaction, it makes all those hours of toilling away in the garage worth it!

I started in on the Tri-Z thinking I would get it running and have a good rider, but after I look at it and see machines like this it makes me realize its worth the wait. And I have an almost new YT175 that is the back up trike.

Did you polish the engine and brake parts yourself?

No freakin doubt that would have been classic! I'm waiting for Doug to send that footage to me. I had him dump my files on his lap top so I could film some more, thanks to you!

I love the doubled up foot pegs. I assume that you welded another standard peg onto the back face of the original pegs.

That swingarm is also a work of art. Got to love the chrome finish, and new west coast sticker.
