The 86 200x that I just bought has a pretty beat up bearing carrier. The end that the snap ring goes is really bad. There is nothing there for the snap ring even.I looked on Bikebandit part numbers for a 87 TRX250X bearing carrier it is the same as the 86 ATC 200x.When I go to Rad Enginering the carriers are different numbers.Even worse the price is $125 more for the 86 200x.So what carriers will fit using the stock 86 axle and other parts. Also will a TRX 250X-300EX axle fit in a 86 200?

The whole 300EX assembly works but requires a thin spacer. Unfortunately, it has to be machined to fit and isn't the easiest thing to make. But, it is a nice upgrade and allows you to use the 300EX axle etc etc.

I wonder why RAD numbers are different? Thats odd if OEM numbers are the same. I'd call RAD and see whats up.........

The complete assembly is a different number. When you say thinner spacer then the 250x-300x is bigger?

the carrier is wider yes. Hmm a spacer on the brake side of a few mm. two tabs weld on the swingarm. I think I remember seeing a spacer on that 300ex swap on ebay.

Any more help with this? There is Rad carriers complete on ebay for $118 for a 300ex.What do you have to do to make it worth on the 86 200x.

You need to have one made at a machine shop. It slips over the carrier, the OD isn't critical and it's about 5/32nds thick or wide.

Okay looked numbers on everything again and I made a boo-boo.Got two numbers backwards so 86 200x and not listed as the same number as the TRX250X-300EX.

From the research I did only an 86 200x will fit. I had to watch eBay for 2 months trailprotrailpro I found a carrier.

That stinks.I asked Rad why so much for one and they pretty much said because they don't sell that many.Which really doesn't justify the cost unless they set up and do them when they are sold. All they probally have to do is switch programs.
