is it possible(feasible) to extend the first gen oval tubing swing arm?
will an 84-85 interchange?
were there any vintage after market made back in the day, made for the 83?
thanks gents

Yes, the 84-85 can be used in place of the 83 swinger. You will need the linkage too. There were aftermarket swingers back in the day. The one that seems to show up the most is the Westcoast +2 swinger..

The 84-85 swinger would be easier to lengthen and would be stronger. The 83 swinger is an eyesore.
Great minds think alike..

Yes, you need the 'dogbone' to connect the shock to the swingarm.

is the rear suspension of the 85 with lower shock link better than the 83x. or should i say dose the lower link provide a stiffer leverage point on the swing arm
