any ideas/suggestions on making my bike faster? It has a new ESR 310 kit, k&n filter, fmf pipe and silencer, v-force3 reeds and i run 100 oct at 50-1. its fast already i beat the 450's and banshees without a prob ; ) thanks for reading...

Ditch the FMF exhaust system and get a full ESR exhaust. It was night and day difference on my 250r. Also what carb are you running? If its stock, step up to a 38mm.

ya i saw the esr exhaust on ebay, a lil pricey but i do like esr. I am running the stock carb just jetted perfect! what would make a bigger difference the carb or exhaust?

Wow..you beat 450's and banshee's without prob? Why do you wanna go faster then...whats out there thats faster then what your already beating? ?

If your riding dunes, the cheapest and best mod is a 12 tooth front sprocket

I got a 310 ESR sitting here to put on once I get the motor finished. Even ESR said the 310 is more than enough for all around because I thought about trading it back for a 330 or 350. Try the ESR pipe I swapped it from the FMF on my stock machine and its quite a differnce alone.

i agree with what has been suggested lol definetly need a bigger carb!! atleast 38mm.... and if your air filter is in the box, take the top off, and jet it with the top off! every one has been saying go with ESR, i'm starting to build a CT310 from scratch, but by my sig, you'll notice im fairly familiar to this :) ..... i don't think the air striker would be worth it since the intake tube before the carb has so many bends in it. in less you are not usen the air box! good luck n nice trike!!

Try changing fuels. Use E85 for starting ease, or straight methanol for more power. Mix either one the same as you mix your gas. Def need more carb. My 81 360 and my 86 250 are both on E85 now.

This guy has the right idea, just wrong way about doing it. DONT "add striaght methanol" to your set up...

ok thanks for everyones input. i'm gonna get the 38mm carb off of the esr website. can i really use e85? my bike was jetted with the airbox lid off and i really want to get the esr pipe..I figure this summer will be a good time to park it and build it since im in vegas and we get to about 114 degrees... anymore ideas send em my way thanks

for the beating 450's and banshees response I do still get beat by a few random bikes so thats why i want more power.. a big part of me losing is cuz i cant keep my front wheel down so i have to let off lol...

with that kinda hot weather, do you have overheating issues? water wetter or a little fabric softener in your coolant helps the coolant contact the hot engine surfaces!!

if anyone is confused, take a bottle of water half full, shake it, notice how the water beads down (the same sorta thing is happening in your cooling system) now put not even half an oz.of fabric softener in the water, shake for 30 seconds, notice there is no beading of water, full contact and it helps lubricate! water wetter is the same just more $$

i got a 310 kit from esr big difference!(next time ill go with a 330 kit) I dont ride here in the summer lol and so far no overheating issues...

no videos yet all my friends are too broke to go ride lately. for the record im not claiming to have a crazy fast R its just quicker than any 250r ive raced ans i beat alot of bike! also i tried to post a video but i dont know how??
