i have a 85 250es and doesn't want to start. it keeps blowing the fuse of the indicator. what can be the problem and where is the main fuse located?

Main fuse is back by the starter solenoid. Start tracing back wires... Sounds like a short to ground...

I think that problem has to do with the red and black cable of the ignition. there is no continuity of in the switch and when i turn the key the main fuse blows. i tried using a separate switch to test if the ignition switch was the problem but the same thing happened.

yes sounds like something is crossed maybe a burnt wire touching ground or something came undone and it touching something its not suppost to.
