ok, went riding yesterday and overall it ran mint! however when i was on the mx track, hitting a few small jumps and whoops, it started to spit and sputter. I through the choke on a bit and it cleared up, then turned the choke off and was fine... could it be some crap in the tank and carb that shook loose from the jumps... I had been on trails and hill climbs for an hour or 2 before we hit the mx track and the thing ran mint.... any thoughts?
thanks jason

Float might need a little adjustment . Check it and put it to factory specs .

my carb has a plastic baffle that fits over top of the main jet. if i remember correctly it is there to keep the main jet submerged on real uneven terrain. it may have come off ?

ok, thanks guy's.. I'm gonna get a service manual and rebuild the carb... when I switched to a twist throttle the other day i noticed the carb looked a little scummy...not dirt floating around just like a residue.. maybe some bad gas too.

well after a second time out and having more of an issue... i pulled the carb apart. Man was it coated with crap! all kinds of sludge. looks like someone fill the machine up at one point with gas that had been sitting is a rusty can for years...nice. well my buddy and i cleaned and put it back together, wow what a difference. I think it was starving for gas all along cause it has way more power and response. it looks like the float is a self or non adjustable...one piece plastic type.
thanks guy's, all tips were taken and used. my buddy showed me a little trick, he moved the clip on the main jet down a notch to let in a little more gas.. then we bumped the timing a degree or two.. the thing rips! now i want to hit the sand again!
