So I needed to take the motor out to diagnose a shifting problem. I had previously fabricated a front mount because the old one had broken. After I pulled the motor out I shipping this. Strange, because I didn't notice it until the weight of the motor twisted the whole frame. Turns out the frame is now held together by a small strip of metal on the other side.

I didn't hit anything. I tried pulling a dead log out of an area where I was working once, but I dont see how that could do it. I'm not exactly the easiest on the trike but I don't abuse it. Another good reason to fix my welder though.

This is why they made aftermarket frames years ago. Stamped steel frames are just not as sturdy as a steel tube frame or chromoly frame. I highly recommend aftermarket frames. Even a ratty aftermarket frame is sturdier than a nice stock frame. It's also why honda made tube frames for their newer and bigger trikes, and they aren't even the sturdiest of frames, but they are way better than the stamped steel frames.

Yup, I have broke one there also. If it was run around much with a broken front mount, that more than likely fatigued the frame. If you want to come up to Oregon you can have my 110 parts bike, I am tired of tripping over it:lol:

How far are you from 92356? All kidding aside I did ride it for an hour with a broken front mount. I am confident I can repair it. I am in the middle of repairing my welder right now. When I am able to I will post what I did to repair it.

Happened to my daughters 125m also. We took it to a small atv shop and he welded it for $30, but she's only 65lbs. At least it's a 110. Her frame was harder to locate.-
