hi i aquirred a 200x head and come to find out it was a curtis sparks the dat on it is 2-4-85 any body have any info on them?

All depends if the cam journals are still good LOL . If its up for sale LMK I'd be interested . Got a pic of the ports and the combustion chamber

Its worth its weight in scrap and nothing else :D. lol Kidding man. You've got a nice old school piece there.Curtis sparks is a very popular motor builder now and was then too.It looks like it has aftermarket valve springs and retainers too. Can you take some pics of the combustion chamber and the ports??

Also if you wanna let go of that nice old school piece I'll take it off you in a heart beat:).

I had been watching a Curtis Sparks head on ebay for the last 6 days...seller pulled it last night before auction ended. Today it is relisted... buy it now $600 or best offer. Not sure if that gives you an idea or not...

im sure that price will drop as time goes by,that guy is here on the boards,im pretty sure its the same guy that has started the how much would it cost to build a 450 tri z thread that was posted tonight.

Yeah, I've got the entire motor, appearance is about the same as the OP has. I was "told" by the seller that it has titanium valves, double springs, hot cam, 12:1 comp, port and polish. I don't have first hand verification of this just yet, though. If all that's true, I might freshen it and shelve it. Don't know yet.

looks like aluminum retainers,see how one of them have a deep galge.
