250xs idle problem

alirght i aquirred i 250sx pretty decent old bike i cleaned the carb the best i could but at idle it somtimes pops out the carb but dont die i was wondering if it was maybe vavles to tight or?and it takes to long to idle down after you give it gas some help would be great thanks kyle

Does your throttle cable seem free?

Does it snap back if you hit the throttle sharply?
Mine had a hidden bungee cord hooked to the cable and it acted strange.

Have tried adjusting your air screw?
Did you know there are manual on here under
'world class help' section.

250sx and 250es big red are virtually identical for probs like this.

I heard billy made the 'search' function better so you can look there too.

well actually i figured it out i had broken the choke cable where it screws into the carb i didnt notice that till yester day when i tokk it of it was letting the plunger for the choke move freely so im gettin a 350x carb and thank you for the help most ppl on here dont reply to my threads

wait does the 350x carb fix the sx?
