Hey all with the help of some fellow trikers I finished my 250SX and was able to run a narrow front wheel in aluminum. I used a 1986 Honda fourtrax 250 utility front wheel and a Kenda front max tire in 22X8X10. See pics.

Here is another view I think it came out pretty good.

Looks nice! Did you have to mod anything to make this work or did it just bolt right up? How does it handle compared to the wide front tire?

That looks like the setup I was telling every one about maybe you missed it love the look and its so nice not having to change any thing to make it fit and look no tire rub on the forks.

Just found it. I'm still interested to see what you guys have to say about the difference how the machine handles.

I think it is much better handling than the fatty tire myself except in the driveway on the pavement.

VERY nice.
I have a couple that have slicks on the front so I guess it's my turn.

And you did all the research.

Thanks

Tecate Karl, I read about your swap and pm'd you on this a few weeks ago. Thanks for the help. To answer the questions no modifications needed just mount the wheel with the valve stem on the brake side. I feel it does handle better seems to bite more in the turns and the front end feels lighter.

Anyone use a 350x front end? I've only seen one picture and the handlebars looked tilted back way too far...maybe can be changed or can't due to the triples?

By the way, loving that skinny tire on the SX. Clean trike, too.

What width and back spacing is the 10'' wheel?

The wheel is a 10X5 with a 3+2 spacing. I ordered the wheel from Ronnies for a 1986 Honda fourtrax utility front wheel.

Did you need any spacers on the axles?
