200x power

Is the power of a 83-85 200x more or less than a Blaster? I have a Blaster right now that I will be getting rid of. I'm going for a 200x or 350x. Are the Kerker and Bassani pipes any good for the 200x? Let me know what you think of them!

A Blaster will have more "power", but a 200X will have alot more torque.

i personaly think that the 200x has more power. when i rode my 200x you could definently feel the power. where with the blaster i'm always trying to find the power. ive never used a kerker pip but the bassani DEFENTLY helps out with the power.

The blaster seems like much more of a preppy and lively machine (and is, being a 2 stroke) when compared to the 4 stroke 200x. The 200x definatly has better low end torque, but I know for certain that the blaster has more horse power, and is the faster machine. I raced a blaster on my 200x in a strait drag, and he smoked me no problem. On a track we were a little closer, but still the blaster came out on top. I own a 85' 200x, and I'm sure an 86' 200x would do a little better than the earlier models. Try to get an 86 or 87 if you can. My .02$ )

i think the blaster being 2 stroke has a more noticable power "band" than the 200x but as for more power i think they are about the same...
as far as speed my 85 200x when it was stock raced 2 blasters,a 1999 & 2001 (ridden by the same rider)and had no problem beating it until he hit that damn 6th gear!!!
we ran short distances (100 ft.)and long distance (3 miles roughly)
the long race was on a dirt road up hill about a mile then a couple good right hand turns.

I think the Blaster has alot more top end power. 200X is a good choice.

So theroetically I would be downsizing as in power but upgrading in torque? What is the stock horsepower for a 200x? What is the top speed? I think the 350x is more for me :twisted: :) !

I think a 200X does somewhere around 12 horsepower. 350X does 28.

to me it seemed that i was constintly reving out the blaster and shifting and still want going anywhere. and the 200x the front wheel is always coming off the gound.
