Astro kit? They are desirable to certain people. Quad people maybe...

or the 3X4 kit. The Astro was a weld on kit, the 3X4 kit allowed you to switch from 3 to 4 and back to 3 wheels. What is the kit for? No matter what we think of them they are a part of our past.

What is the kit for, and do you have any pics?

119283119282119281119280it is on craigslist, it is kind of confusing to tell what it is this is what he wrote

"for sale is a 1981 honda 200. It started off as a 3 wheeler, the rear was cut off and turned into a dual suspension rear, then the neck had to be cut off, and a 200x neck was welded on to accomidate a 250r factory conversion kit. Alot of work went into building this machine, the only issue is the transmission went bad, runs well and has 1st gear"

i am not sure exactly what it is,but i thought since it was the conversion, that part could be taken off whatever they did ha ha

Hey, it's got a Supertrapp on it. It looks like a 3X4 so at least you could take it off.. But that dual shock rear suspension makes me wonder. Needs some better pics to see if the conversion is bolted on or not, and how botched the rear suspension is.. Tank looks real rusty on the downhill passenger side.

yeah, i thought the whole thing was pretty odd, but the conversion itself, was not sure about, never seen one before

I personally never liked the kits. They are a piece of history and to a collector a nice conversion might be worth it.

One positive note for it: The price of scrap metal is up right now! :D

i looked at that many times on craigslist and wondered why someone would want to take a 3 wheeler and make it a 4 wheeler. Expecially with that kit. lol IMO its really ugly.

if you really wanted a 4 wheeler, dont bother ruining a 3 wheeler and making it look ugly, just go out and buy a 4 wheeler... if you like the drive train of a certain 3 wheeler, take the engine out of 1 and put it in a 4 wheeler... that right there is a waste of a trike, and it doesnt even look like a good 4 wheeler... the conversion is ugly...

exactly, i have no idea why this was ever made in the first place, but just to say it again, i was just asking what people thought about it
